Whilst we make every attempt to ensure that prices are kept up to date, the figures below are subject to change from time to time and may not be completely accurate.

Orthodontic treatment fees

At Ripley Orthodontics, we firmly believe that all our patients should enjoy the benefits of a beautiful new smile. That is why we offer treatment at competitive prices and can help you with financing should you need it.

All of our treatment costs are determined by your individual orthodontic needs, but as a guideline, prices are as follows:

Children (under 18 years of age):

• Removable replacement retainers from £95 each (per arch)
• Treatment with a single Upper Removable Appliance (URA) from £800 (Not the “double” functional appliances)
• Treatment with metal (Stainless steel) fixed braces on the outside of the teeth from £2600
• Treatment with initial Clark Twinblock Functional appliance (“double” block braces) followed by U&L metal fixed braces on the outside of the teeth from £3600
• Treatment with ceramic (porcelain tooth coloured) fixed braces on the outside of the teeth from £3000
• Treatment with Invisalign (removable invisible aligners worn 20-22 hours/day for the duration of the active treatment) £3000- £5000
• Treatment with Incognito (invisible inside fixed appliances) lingual system from £7500
• New fixed bonded retainer wire as a single treatment £250 per arch
• Removable lower bite raising appliance for grinding (bruxism) from £150
• Invisalign Clincheck £250 (if eligible for active orthodontic treatment this will be deducted from the overall fee)

Records for any patients who want standard fixed (metal or ceramic braces) £250 (deducted from total fee if eligible for active treatment)

ADULTS (over 18 years of age):

Brace removal fees

• Removal of fixed braces (no retainers) from £200
• Removal of fixed braces with removable retainers and 1 years supervision from £500

Brace accessories

• We have a range of mouth guards specifically for braces £20-35
• Hygiene packs for braces – £18
• Wax – £2

48 hours notice is required for cancellations. Missed or late hygiene appointments will incur the full charge of £53

Missed or late cancelled dental treatment appointments are charged at £20 per 15 minutes of appointment time booked.

Please give as much notice as possible when cancelling so we can offer the slot to someone who needs treatment. We may not be able to fill the time on the day which is why we ask that you let us know as soon as possible.

Numerous cancellations may result in your dentist refusing to treat you.

NHS fees

The NHS charges for treatment are currently set within three fixed price bands: Band 1, Band 2 and Band 3. The charges incurred, and the treatment available, within each band are shown below to help you make sense of your NHS charges.

The prices shown above are not set by the Practice, but are charges set under national criteria and, as such, may be subject to change at little or no notice. Please ask reception for the latest NHS charges.
