Dr Chirag Amin – Owner of the practice and an experienced General Dental Practitioner with a particular interest in cosmetic and implant procedures. GDC number 79514.

Chig was born in London and qualified from Cardiff Dental School in 2001. He is an experienced general practitioner with a passion for his dentistry, which results in him providing dentistry of the highest calibre. Chig provides all aspects of dentistry, and has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and implant surgery, for which he has continued postgraduate training in this field.  

Chig believes strongly in continued professional development, and has completed the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and has completed a highly regarded Surgical Implantology course at the Tatum Institute. He has been taught directly by Professor Hilt Tatum, who has pioneered dental implants over the last forty years. Chig is married and outside of work he enjoys cricket, football and travelling the world.

Dr Philip Boamah – Owner of the practice and an experienced Dental Surgeon and Implantologist. GDC number 79520.

Philip qualified from Cardiff University in 2001 with a distinction in clinical dentistry. After his vocational training year Philip gained 2 years further surgical training as a Senior House Officer in prestigious Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Departments, where he further developed his surgical and medical skills and later gained membership to the Royal College of Surgeons (MFDS).

In 2004 he started work in a General Dental Practice in London, and soon developed a particular interest in advanced implant and restorative dentistry. In 2007, Philip was accepted onto the highly acclaimed Royal College of Surgeons Implant Diploma Course, which he is close to completing. Philip will always give the very best he can to every patient, and treatments are carried out in a very relaxed, caring and professional manner. In his spare time Philip enjoys football, squash and eating well.

Jean Donkin – Practice Manager

Dr Sarah Felmingham – Clinical Lead/Specialist Orthodontist – GDC number 75919.

Sarah qualified as a dental surgeon in 1999 from Bristol University Dental Hospital. She worked as a general dentist in a practice in Bristol. This was followed by various specialist hospital posts in Bristol and Liverpool where Sarah gained a wide experience in orthodontics, paediatric dentistry, oral medicine, special needs dentistry, restorative and oral and maxillofacial surgery. This vast experience enabled her to gain her Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2002. She then worked as a specialist in paediatric dentistry in Alder Hey Childrens Hospital in Liverpool and Liverpool University Teaching Hospital.

Sarah started her Orthodontic postgraduate training in 2003 at The Eastman Dental Hospital, The Royal Berkshire Hospital and Slough Wexham Park Hospital. In 2006 she gained her MSc in Orthodontics from UCL and in January 2007 completed her specialist training and her Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Sarah is therefore registered as a specialist orthodontist with the General Dental Council Specialist list.

Sarah has worked as an associate specialist in several specialist practices in Berkshire and West Sussex. She joined Ripley Dental in April 2011 bringing her with her expertise in treating nervous patients and adults requiring more complex treatment using a range of fixed and removable appliance types. She is a registered user of the Incognito lingual orthodontic appliance system of which she has a particular interest and has been accredited to use Temporary Anchorage Devices (TAD’s). Sarah is a member of the British Orthodontic Society (BOS) and has previously been involved with committee work with the BDA and the BOS orthodontic specialist group. Sarah is Mum to Emily who is currently 16 months old and tries to find time to practice yoga and pilates when time permits.

Dr Zania Lung – Specialist Orthodontist – GDC number 78224.

After wearing braces as a teenager, Dr Lung became interested in pursuing a career in dentistry. Particularly in the area of orthodontics. She enjoys working with patients, helping them achieve the perfect smile and improving their self-esteem and confidence. She loves the positive impact orthodontics has on children and adults.

Dr Lung qualified as a General Dentist from King’s College, University of London in 2000. She worked as a general dentist in Norfolk and in Surrey. She then embarked on doing several hospital posts in Oral Medicine, Restorative Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery, and Special Needs Dentistry both as a Community and a Hospital Dentist. She worked in several hospitals, Queen Victoria Hospital, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Eastman Dental Hospital, Guy’s and King’s College, London. During this time, Dr Lung gained membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery in 2003. She is also a published author in high impact journals; The British Dental Journal and the Journal of Orthodontics.

Dr Lung started her Post graduate Specialist Training in Orthodontics in 2006 at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast and Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry. She then gained her MPhil in 2008 and her Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in England in 2009.

Dr Lung has worked in Specialist Practice as an Associate since 2009. She is able to provide a range of treatments from aligners to fixed conventional appliances and lingual fixed appliances.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Lung is a big fan of Disney and aims to visit all of the Disneylands in the world. She is already two-thirds of the way there. She loves baking muffins and experimenting with different flavours. Dr Lung enjoys spending time with her family and undertaking outdoor pursuits.

Dr Tariq Qureshi – Tariq graduated from the prestigious King’s College London, University of London, twice. Working hard throughout his career he has managed to acquire an array of awards and skills over the years, which would ultimately benefit our patients. GDC number 228685.

His pursuit for clinical excellence and commitment to continuous professional development ensures all patients benefit from the latest in dentistry.  

His demeanour and mannerism are exemplary, which enables anxious/nervous patients to be at ease from their first visit. Patient comfort and satisfaction are his top priority at all times. With almost a decade of general practice experience and an interest in minimally invasive restorative and aesthetic dentistry, he will guide you effortlessly through the treatment you require.

Tariq appreciates the need for good oral health and the potential impact this may have on general wellbeing and quality of life. This makes him dedicated and passionate to provide an exceptional level of care for all patients at Ripley.

Sharda Sharma – Dentist GDC No. 156233

Kim Bainbridge – Hygienist – GDC number 3718.

Kim is from Northern Ireland and trained as a dental hygienist in Edinburgh. She worked in general practice in Manchester, before returning to Belfast where she worked part time in sales for Oral B, as well as being a community hygienist specialising in treating patients with special needs. This proved to be a very rewarding experience, in particular working with the amazing children from Fleming Fulton School.

After moving to Surrey and starting a family Kim returned part time as a dental hygienist. She has two teenage daughters that keep her very busy and has a keen interest in health and fitness. She recently completed the Zurich Iron Man.

In her spare time Barbara likes to spend her time with family and friends and her 3 horses: Freddie, shadow and Daisy and her 2 cats Gus and Luna.

Barbara loves her job at Ripley. She has worked in dentistry since she was 18 and been lucky enough to work with many specialists in all fields of dentistry which has given her a lot of experience which enables her to do her job as a treatment coordinator and offer advice and treatment options to our patients.
